e-Portfolios
The e-Portfolio system is designed to transform the way you are able to obtain vocational qualifications (NVQs & SVQs). The "online NVQ", enables you to participate in a blended learning environment, which thanks to Internet delivery, is no longer confined to a specific workplace, allowing greater flexibility for all learners! You no longer need to take hours away from work to meet your assessors and can now work on your qualification from the comfort of your own home of office in your own time.
Within this system, key documentation such as course notes and support materials are available to all users as part of their online course folder. Individual courses may share material where appropriate, supporting the modular approach to training.
Learners then use their course material to amass an online portfolio of evidence that they use to support their competence claims against the criteria set out in the course standards.
In addition to this, communication tools and knowledge forums build a sense of community where users can interact with each other and share valuable information and advice. In line with cutting edge online communication, learners can video conference with their trainers and assessors and even submit video clips as part of their evidence.
Any course on this site advertised as being available via the NVQ route can be done via this online NVQ system.
