AIMS
This course aims to allow delegates to recognise the importance of effective leadership and in doing so, develop and apply appropriate leadership skills given varying circumstances
OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course learners will return to the workplace better able to:
• Understand the difference between management and leadership
• Understand the importance of effective leadership and the most common approaches
• Apply the right approach given varying situations and contexts
• Effectively carry out the key functions of a leader
• Recognise their own leadership style against standard models and apply the "Best Fit Approach"
• Employ assertiveness techniques to compliment chosen leadership styles

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal requirements to gain entry into this course! It is open to anyone and everyone!
ASSESSMENT METHOD
The course will consist of a number of units of study and an assessment will follow at the end of each unit comprising of short answer questions, quizzes or simple short essays.
UPON COMPLETION
Successful candidates will be awarded the Dunelm Associates Ltd Certificate in Leadership.
